Surgery

We offer the most advanced techniques & technology available.  All patients are carefully screened to ensure their safety and anesthetics are tailored to your individual pet.  Surgical services includes; a veterinarian available for consultation, fully trained technical staff to ensure the safest most efficient state of the art procedures for your pet,  ECG, oxygen saturation and blood pressure monitors, IV fluid therapy, after surgery care and full blood testing.  Surgeries performed include, but are not limited to:  spay, neuter, lump removal, ACL repair and eye surgery.  We also offer the option of using a surgical laser for every procedure.

We require preoperative bloodwork prior to any anesthetic procedure.  Here are a few reasons why:

  • Enjoy peace of mind.
    • Testing can significantly reduce medical risk.
  • Detect hidden illness.
    • Healthy-looking pets may be hiding symptoms of a disease or ailment.  Testing helps detect this kind of illness so we can avoid problems with anesthesia.
  • Reduce risks and consquences.
    • If the preanesthetic testing results are normal, we can proceed with confidence.  If not, we can alter the anesthetic procedure or take other precautions to safeguard your pet's health.
  • Protect your pet's future health.
    • These tests become part of your pet's medical record, providing a baseline for future reference.

Instructions

Do not feed your pet after 8pm the night prior to his/her surgical procedure.  You may leave water down, but pick it up first thing in the morning.  If your pet is on any medications, please call the clinic the confirm if they should be given prior to surgery.

Our surgical admit time is between 7:30-8am and once the surgical procedure is finished, a staff member will call you and let you know how your pet is doing and schedule a pickup time.
